Doing power measurements on mains products is quite a hassle as most precision power analyzers require individual connections for current sensing and voltage measurements. This makes them very flexible, but also not so straightforward. Not a big deal for regular single-phase mains connections, but gets a bit more convoluted with 3-phase connections, as you find yourself juggling with up to 12 banana cables.

This breakout box doesn't ease on that number of banana cables all that much. However, it does make things much easier to oversee. Thus less chance for potential catastrophic errors! For best overview, we recommend to use multiple colors of banana cables, just as suggested by the color-coded banana sockets on the breakout box.

Most 3-phase CDN devices for surge and conducted immunity are connected via banana connections. For those, this breakout box is also a very convenient accessory.
